Since its launch in 1987, TAG Heuer’s Link bracelet has had a number of redesigns. Most recently, it popped up on the Ayrton Senna collection – re-dubbed the ‘Legend’ bracelet – in a more rounded style.
Now, TAG Heuer Replica has launched a new women’s collection featuring the Link, in both steel and ceramic. The bracelet is more geometric than on the Senna collection, with each brushed link faceted and polished at a slight angle before it joins the next one.
It’s a new, more contemporary look for the women’s Link: the bracelet now widens as it reaches the swiss replica watch, and the Roman numerals that featured on previous versions are gone.
The case is not quite cushion and not quite round, with four corners and a round, polished bezel.
It looks pretty cool in both gloss and sand-blasted matte black, as well as having the accolade of being the first Link model to be made entirely from ceramic.
Over on the steel version, there’s a choice of varying degrees of bling: diamond-free, diamonds on the dial, diamonds round the bezel, and diamonds on both the dial and bezel. It’s priced from £1,250 to £2,800 in steel; a price is yet to be released for the ceramic version which has diamonds around the bezel in the pictures we’ve seen, although a diamond-free version is also expected.
The dials themselves are mother-of-pearl, in white or lacquered pale blue on the steel bracelet, and lacquered black on the ceramic. Particularly in black, the flecked texture contrasts nicely with the bracelet. Each has faceted baton hour markers, plated with either rhodium or pink gold, and a date window at 3 o’clock.
The Lady Link has a Swiss-made quartz movement, which is both shock- and magnetic-resistant.
